My crazy husband and Annabelle at 34 weeks!

My husband is a crazy nut! I don't know what spurred this cuteness:

He was even crazy enough to keep two toddlers while Scott, Amelia, and I went to work on Monday. Did I mention one toddler had pink eye and an ear infection? He's awesome =) I even called a couple of times throughout the day and everyone sounded like they were all having a great time! Of course he had to work today, so I stayed home with our toddlers and the first thing out of their mouths this morning was "Uncle Bo sleeping" and "Where's my daddy?"

The best part was after the children were in bed yesterday - Bo and I finally got to talk about their day. He seemed to have a great time with them, but said he did notice one thing. This isn't a direct quote, but pretty close.... It would have been much easier if the house were clean and all I had to do was take care/play with the children. So I'm planning to make a concerted effort to help keep the house clean/organized while you are home with our two.

I asked him why he needed brownie points, because he earned major points for that conclusion =) I feel like we equally share chores right now, but I'm glad to know he won't expect superwoman/mom while I'm home with the babies!

But surely I can pull off the supermom role when I have someone this cute doing dishes - right?

I mean, my kitchen chair and floor even got a great bath during Emma Catherine's dish washing process!

Is it December 17th yet?

Wait, I thought Annabelle's due date was December 31st, has that changed? No, but this girl's last day of work is December 17th and I'm ecstatic about that! Will I miss my crazy coworkers? Definitely! But this nesting pregnant lady is going crazy because I don't have the time or energy to nest after a full day of work, commuting, cooking, cleaning, and spending time with my toddler - who does not think nesting is fun! Then the weekends are packed and did I mention the holidays are here?

So if you would like to come help me nest one weekend, please let me know! I welcome any and all help and company - not to mention, people to play with Emma Catherine =) She does love a house full of folks!

Oh, and Thursday night Bo and I made two big purchases. Half on cloth diapers for Annabelle, the other half on a new camera lens - I'm equally excited about both because yes I am extremely weird!

Unfortunately I did not bring my camera to the wedding we went to tonight, but there were a few photos I just had to take with the blackberry. It was a beautiful wedding and the groom's cake was awesome - if you like Mario Brothers =)

And a big thanks to Emma Catherine's grandma for coming to play with her while mommy and daddy were out! Scott and Elizabeth were at the wedding as well and we ended up discussing how much they pay their babysitter (grad school students) - it made me appreciate family sitters that much more!! However, there are times I wish we had trust worthy babysitters in the area we could call in a pinch - even if we did have to pay =) Maybe one day!

I promise to post more soon! We are still trying to get all the birthday pictures together and the pictures from Emma Catherine's trip to Babyland General!!

Trick or Treat, Thank you

Emma Catherine had a great weekend at Eric's house! After our maternity/EC's 2 year photo session with Derizae, we made our way to Woodstock to see part of the McVay family. Emma Catherine has come to love the busy, fun, and crowdedness of the McVay clan. I always loved having a house full of family for the holidays when I was growing up and it is awesome to see her enjoy it as well!

Here are the toddlers enjoying a Saturday morning activity - dancing on Aunt Amelia's pots!

Eric was really grooving!

Emma Catherine thought this was a cool idea!

They also had a big time enjoying the new deck at Scott and Amelia's!

The deck is pretty amazing! Already worth every penny in my opinion and it isn't even finished yet. I definitely have house envy now! It was so nice to just let the children go play while we watched them through the large windows in the breakfast nook and the living room.

My little cindy lou who returns =) I'll get a better picture soon, but I love her in these footed outfits!

We enjoyed the Woodstock fall festival on Saturday! Here are the children getting dressed up and ready to go! Eric says "please don't put that stuff in my hair mom" =)

I'm teasing. He was very cute with his hawk - much better looking than this guy!

Bo did Emma Catherine's hair...

Eric had fun fishing with his dad, the birthday boy!

Emma Catherine says me too!

Scott and Eric sure could use a little girl around their house on a more permanent basis =)
One of their own of course, not my little angel - she's ours!

They also loved the parachute!

My twins again!

By Sunday morning the two tots were starting to run out of steam...

But they some how found the energy to enjoy the neighbor's jump house and swing set!

The daddies were hard at work though =)

Cousin Jessie did some pretty awesome face paint this year!

The little ones got ready to go too!

This house was their first stop of so many!

Of course Emma Catherine's very first piece of candy was a pack of Smarties - her favorite! I didn't know she knew what smarties were until Thursday. Her daycare class came over to "trick or treat" in our building. She was given a small bag of candy and as I pulled out the smarties, Emma Catherine yelled "Smarties!" and dove for them =) I'm going to blame daycare for the fact that she knows what they are because I didn't think she had ever seen them before!

Emma Catherine got the hang of the whole trick or treat thing pretty quick!

She loved going off with Aunt Deb too!

And this pumpkin was her favorite decoration of the night!

It was an excellent night, even though Emma Catherine was crying when I made her go home because it was past her bedtime!

What a fun, care free weekend!
